Four members of Kansas Alpha were chosen among a select group to be orientation leaders for Baker University. Those members are sophomore Eric Reimer and freshmen Adam Blevins, Kyle Baum and Caleb Watts. Eric Reimer is also the director of all orientation leaders at Baker and it is his second year as an orientation leader. Applicants were interviewed individually and selected based upon campus involvement and academics as well as leadership skills. They will be assisting the university in providing information to visiting students on specific visit and scholarship days during the summer and be group leaders for freshman during orientation week in August. SigEp has the most orientation leaders of any greek organization on campus.
Six members of Kansas Alpha attended the 2010 Carlson Leadership Academy this past weekend. Brothers Eric Reimer, Kevin Hosteter, Charlie Bolinger, Kirsten Shuck, Ryan McCluney, and Dylan Pryor. Those who attended collaborated with alumni from other chapters and current members who are officers of the same positions. They also learned about risk management issues and Kansas Alpha has since taken this information to make improvements to our own risk management plan.
